Spalding Gala 2018

The Spalding Catholic School Gala Committee is pleased to announce the details for this year’s annual Gala, Spalding Winter Olympics 2018.  The 27th annual celebration will include an evening of fine dining, an auction, dance, and drawings for cash prizes totaling over $5,000.  The event is held each year to help raise critical funds needed to support private school education.

Spalding Winter Olympics 2018 will be held on Saturday, February 3 at the Hospers Community Center with Mass at 4:00 at St. Anthony’s, Hospers, Social Hour at 5:00 and Dinner at 6:00.  Starting at 7:00 is the Live Auction, which features special items created by each grade and items donated by businesses and community members.  The Cash Drawing follows the Auction and a dance will conclude the evening.

Sponsors are invited to donate an auction item or make a general donation.  Levels of giving will be recognized in the program.   Last year’s event grossed a record amount of over $73,000, surpassing the previous year by more than $10,000.  “The generosity of area businesses, staff, and parishioners is truly a blessing for the success of this event and we cannot thank them enough,” commented Spalding Development Director, Deacon Dan Goebel.
