The Spalding Catholic School Gala Committee is pleased to announce the details for this year’s annual Gala; Monopoly - Spalding Edition.  The 28th annual celebration will include an evening of fine dining, an auction, dance, and drawings for cash prizes totaling over $5,000.  The event is held each year to help raise critical funds needed to support private school education.

Monopoly - Spalding Edition will be held on Saturday, February 3 at the Hospers Community Center with Mass at 4:00 at St. Anthony’s, Hospers, Social Hour at 5:00 and Dinner at 6:00.  Starting around 7:00 is the Live Auction, which features special items created by each grade and items donated by businesses and community members.  The Cash Drawing follows the Auction and a dance will conclude the evening.

Sponsors are invited to donate an auction item or make a general donation.  Levels of giving will be recognized in the program and any gift over $250 will be featured on the donor wall.  Last year’s event grossed a record amount of over $90,000, surpassing the previous year by more than $15,000.  “The generosity of area businesses, staff, and parishioners is truly a blessing for the success of this event and we cannot thank them enough,” commented Spalding Development Director, Deacon Dan Goebel.
